The Flynn-Ricci family has been involved with Cavalier life for many years –
In the United States since the mid 80'S and overseas in Ireland since the 1930's.

We breed and show (moderately) to preserve the breed and to build a better healthy dog for families, single people, autistic children, and in the therapy field. We genetically test our dogs for mitral valve disease (MVD). Presently we are certifying our dogs as Canine Good Citizen and Delta Society therapy dogs. We keep busy with that!

My background includes owning my own kitchen and bath design firm since the 90’s. Doug has been semi-retired since 2009. In 2014 our son Neal passed after a battle with cancer, which steered me into grief therapy. Our daughter Crystal, an RN, BSN, has gone onto BioPharma after working at Yale New Haven hospital. Crystal was instrumental in steering us in to therapy work at Yale, where our cavaliers work as therapy dogs. Crystal and her husband Eric have 3 beautiful kids: Owen, Molly, and Noah. They enjoy coming up and playing the dogs. Molly has been handling some puppies from birth. Owen is now a student at Iona College in New York.

I now travel more frequently to Ireland to my kennel/home in Co. Limerick my mothers home town. My mother passed in 2017 sadly, but inspired me to continue raising my irish cavaliers....my family in Ireland helped me heal from my losses. I am now also into Welch Pembroke Corgis and received 2 as gifts after my mother's untimely death - two girls Nellie and Millie, Nellie being the  name of my mothers first dog. I also have a syndicated black greyhound who starts her racing debut in Ireland next year...my uncle Paddy the Yank, from Glin Co. Limerick who also passed recently, was a well loved man who knew greyhounds better than himself!

So I am carrying on the tradition... as Uncle Paddy the Yank's niece, Eileen Flynn... cavaliers, corgis, greyhounds and horses. This year I will be showing dogs in Ireland with the Irish Kennel Club.

We have a cavalier champion in our kennel, Prince, who we imported from Canada last year. He comes from 12 champion lines and was made a UKC champ this past spring. He is also a CGC Delta Society therapy dog earning this title at only 8 months. Another dog we are showing is Queenie, we purchased her from a top London line.

Our oldest cavalier, Rolo, is now 21 years old and in pretty good shape. I hear from people all the time about the pups they have received from us, their longevity and the happiness they bring! Please make an appointment to come out any time, and please bring the family!
